AshCheck Ash Content Analyzer for Bituminous Coal: AshCheck precisely determines the ash content in bituminous coal by measuring natural gamma radiation—directly at the mining site, on a truck, or in a railcar. The rugged probe, equipped with digital processing electronics, provides reliable measurement results even to inexperienced users thanks to its simple menu navigation.

Since 2020, a two-part solution has also been available, in which the sensor and readout unit are separate and connected via a robust cable connection.

The self-contained ash analyzer is manufactured using state-of-the-art digital technology. The measuring probe contains digital processing electronics that reduce cable and information losses to literally zero. This results in increased sensitivity, making it possible to measure a larger volume of coal at once. In addition, the absolute accuracy of the average ash content is improved, and fewer measurement points are required within a coal pile.

Working closely with our customers, we have created an easy-to-understand user interface with simple “one-touch” operation and extensive options for configuration and data acquisition. Each measurement is automatically numbered but can also be easily renamed. The AshCheck display is built with state-of-the-art electronic and display components and offers a memory capacity of more than 4,000 entries, with more than 100 measurement points per entry.
