Line Laser module BRIGHT RED 50 mW, adjustable, insulated
Line Laser Module 50 mW Bright Red (635 nm), Isolated – LLM-50-635: High power in bright red: 50 mW at 635 nm produces a very bright line for industrial applications with long working distances or bright ambient lighting.
- Very bright bright red laser line (635 nm) with 50 mW
- For long lines and bright environments
- Isolated design, 12–26 VDC power supply
- Focus and line position adjustable on the module
The 12-mm module from the MediaLas modular system is designed for daily production use: compact dimensions, high reliability, typical service life of over 25,000 hours. The precision plastic optics can be replaced at any time or swapped out for glass elements—even while installed. Connection via stranded wires (standard), hollow connectors, or 12–25 V flexible cable.

Line Length and Line Width
The length of the laser line is determined by the beam angle selected at the time of purchase. The following angles are available for the LLM-50-635:
| Angle | Distance | Line length approx. |
|---|---|---|
| 5° | 1 m | 8–9 cm |
| 10° | 1 m | 17 cm |
| 20° | 1 m | 0.34 m |
| 30° | 1 m | 0.54 m |
| 35° | 1 m | 0.62 m |
| 45° | 1 m | 0.85 m |
| 60° | 1 m | 1.16 m |
| 70° | 1 m | 1.40 m |
| 90° | 1 m | 2 m |
| 110° | 1 m | 3 m |
| 120° | 1 m | 3.4 m |
The line width (focus) is adjusted directly on the module—see the video "Adjusting the Line Width".

At a distance of 1 m, the following lengths result (12-mm modules):
| Angle | Distance | Line length approx. |
|---|---|---|
| 10° | 1 m | 17 cm |
| 20° | 1 m | 35 cm |
| 30° | 1 m | 54 cm |
| 35° | 1 m | 63 cm |
| 45° | 1 m | 83 cm |
| 60° | 1 m | 116 cm |
| 70° | 1 m | 140 cm |
| 90° | 1 m | 200 cm |
| 110° | 1 m | 300 cm |
The line length increases linearly with distance; at a distance of 2 m, these values double.
Stranded wires (standard) – open red/black wires, approx. 100–200 mm length, for direct connection to microcontrollers or driver boards.
Barrel connector – 5.5 / 2.1 mm standard barrel plug, approx. 200 mm cable, for operation with a 230 VAC plug-in power supply.
Flexible cable with ferrules – approx. 100 cm flexible cable for direct connection to a 12–25 VDC machine controller. Reverse-polarity protection is integrated in the DC variant.
On request we also supply M8 / M12 connectors with custom cable lengths. The DC variant is particularly suited for retrofitting existing machines without 230 V wiring.
Line length: The longer the line, the lower the brightness, as the light output is spread over a larger area
Laser color: Green appears significantly brighter than red or blue
Work surface: The darker and more matte the surface, the darker the light appears
Ambient brightness: The brighter the ambient light, the darker the laser line appears. This is due to the human eye, which reduces its sensitivity depending on the ambient brightness. In direct sunlight, it is very difficult to see a laser line because the retina is already saturated.
Laser power: The higher the laser power, the brighter the laser line
Wavelength in detail: The wavelength determines how visible the line is on your surface. Red (650 nm) is the lowest-cost option and sufficient in moderately lit indoor environments. Light red (635 nm) appears noticeably brighter than 650 nm at the same power. Green (520 / 532 nm) is the most universal choice – the human retina is most sensitive in the green spectral range, so green lines appear roughly 5–7× brighter than red at equal power. Blue (450 nm) delivers high contrast on greenish surfaces, where red and green fade into the background.
