LDPM Copper Press-Fit Socket for Laser Diodes: Copper press-fit socket for laser diodes in 5.6- or 9-mm housings. The 12-mm outer diameter is compatible with the MediaLas standard accessories, and the M9 × 0.5 collimator mount fits our collimators.
Direct contact between the laser diode housing and the copper collimator ensures excellent heat dissipation. The outer diameter is designed to the 12-mm standard, so many of our accessories fit directly.
The laser diode is press-fit flush into the socket. Heat transfer works exceptionally well without the need for adhesive or thermal paste.
An M9 × 0.5 mm internal thread is provided as the collimator mount, which is compatible with our collimators. The focus is adjusted by rotating the collimator. The included spring applies pressure to the fine thread, improving precision. The ferrule is made of aluminum or copper and features a cable exit hole.
Use our selection system to choose the appropriate size and add the necessary accessories. We’d be happy to press-fit your laser diode into the socket. This is done in an ESD-controlled environment to ensure the laser diode is not damaged by static electricity. We are NOT liable for third-party diodes supplied by customers!
