Are laser class / safety notices legally required in product texts?

Labelling on the device per EN 60825-1 (sticker with class, wavelength, power) is mandatory. Including the information in product texts or datasheets is not explicitly required by law, but in practice it is industry standard and sensible for liability reasons. For all our products we state the laser class and wavelength in the technical data. For high-power modules (Class 3B and above) we additionally include prominent notes on protective measures.
